The Last Ocean documentary has been selected by the Nomination Jury at Wildscreen 2014 for a special screening during the Festival week. The prestigious biennial wildlife film festival takes place from 19th-24th October in Bristol U.K. and has been dubbed the ‘Green Oscars’ - celebrating the very best in natural history filmmaking.
The film has also been selected in competition at BLUE 2014. This year the Blue Ocean Film Festival and Ocean Conservation Summit festival is taking place in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA from 3rd-9th November. The Last Ocean is a finalist in the Documentary Feature Film and Ocean Issues categories, and has also received an Honorable Mention for Best use of Music and Cinematography.
This recognition will help bring attention to Ross Sea over the month of October, perfect timing for our campaign in the lead up to the annual CCAMLR meeting, running from 20th-31st October 2014.
